It is my hope that through my artistry, and the write-ups that accompany them, I can encourage you to embrace your emotions and embolden you to continue your path towards happiness and a fulfilling life. You may be surprised to learn that I am a formally trained actor and enjoyed a busy performance career in the Toronto theatre/film/television industry before becoming a full-time photographer. Acting is basically the study and re-creation of authentic human behaviour and I have always been deeply passionate about the human condition.

In 2002, I opened a wedding photography & videography business in Toronto. This business saw huge success. Photographing hundreds of weddings over three continents offered plenty of opportunity to observe human behaviour during intense circumstances. In 2012, I returned to the stage for a remount of a theatre show I had performed in 10 years earlier. While touring the show across Canada we briefly visited Vancouver Island. Well, what can I say? I fell desperately in love with this magical island and moved here the same year. It was the best decision I have ever made.

I spend every moment I can, lost in the remote and wild places along the coast and in the rainforest. While I hike, I process the world around me, I observe how wonderfully nature tackles challenges and then relate those practices back to my own life.
